03 Feb The Hideout’s Major Remodel
Guests often ask what we did to turn the existing B&B on the property that we purchased into our own special hideout – Jackson Hole Hideout. Well, we remodeled the property – through the winter! For eight months between October 2015 – May 2016, we worked hard to update the “good bones” of the home, relying on our “heck of a driveway” to get everyone and everything up through the heavy snow.
While we worked on the remodel, our project list grew longer instead of shorter. The work we did included rebuilding the central staircase, replacing the main fireplace, replacing the main kitchen, turning two guestrooms into a single guest suite, adding a powder room, adding a laundry room, installing new windows and exterior doors, building custom interior doors, rebuilding exterior decks, updating all of the bathrooms, light fixtures, window treatments, and overall décor … and finally, fully remodeling the owner’s suite to make it work for our family.
We truly turned it into a new, even more unique bed and breakfast. It was a labor of love, and we’re so glad to share it with all of our guests.
