Jackson Hole Hideout Tree

We are on the western side of the Snake River at the base of the Teton Pass

The Hideout is located on a small, quiet residential road in the heart of Wilson, a residential and commercial crossroads that sits west of the Snake River at the base of the Teton Pass – just 10 minutes from Teton Village, 15 minutes from the Town Square in Jackson, 25 minutes from the Jackson Hole Airport and 30 minutes from Teton Valley, Idaho, which has its own special charms. So you’ll be near to the action, but far from the hustle and bustle … able to wake up to simply the sunrise and the sounds of the songbirds in the area, and peak through the fir, spruce and aspen trees to see the Wilson meadows in the distance.

Whether you fly or drive into Jackson Hole, you’ll be greeted by stunning scenery along your journey.  When flying into Jackson Hole, you’ll find taxi service and some rental car providers on property.  Note, however, that other rental car providers are located in Jackson, requiring a provider shuttle from the airport to town.  Visitors to the area also fly into the Idaho Falls Regional Airport – about a 1 ½ hour drive to/from the valley and Salt Lake City International Airport – about a 5 hour drive to/from the valley.

  • From the Jackson Hole Airport … and those coming from Yellowstone (South Gate) and Grand Teton National Parks, turn right onto US Highway 191/89/26. Follow the road south about 10 miles to the Jackson Town Square.
  • At the intersection with East Broadway (which is the main intersection with the stoplight at the Town Square), turn right. The road is still considered US Highway 191/89/26 and it will take you through another 2 mile stretch of Jackson.
  • At the intersection with WY Highway 22 (where Wells Fargo, Albertson’s and the Pony Express Motel are located), turn right and follow the road west about 5 miles to Wilson.
  • At the Wilson crossroads, turn left onto Fall Creek Road just past the Exxon gas station, and then take the first right onto Heck of a Hill Road. The Hideout is located at 6175 Heck of a Hill Road, about 1 mile from WY Highway 22.
  • As you make your way up Heck of a Hill Road, you will see our business sign to the right at the bottom of our driveway. Please note that our driveway is gravel and has two switchbacks, the first of which is essentially a u-turn off of the road. Go ahead and drive all the way to the top of the driveway and park at our front porch and main entrance.
  • If you would prefer to remain in our lower parking lot, we will use our utility vehicle to get you and your luggage to and from the main entrance.

Personal transportation is required to stay at the Hideout, and during the long winter season (November – March), we recommend that your vehicle be four wheel or all wheel drive in order for you to better navigate our property and the changing weather and driving conditions in the area.
